Have you ever wished that you could look younger, or that you could turn back time and take better care of your skin? Anti-wrinkle injections could be the answer.
Anti-Wrinkle Treatment (commonly known as Botox)
Anti-wrinkle injections are a popular treatment that provide both prevention and correction of wrinkles. They can safely and effectively reduce the appearance of frown lines, forehead lines or crow’s feet and leave your skin looking younger and fresher.
The treatment involves targeting specific muscles with substance called Botulinum Toxin, causing the facial muscles to temporarily relax. It takes approximately 20 minutes to complete, and should not be painful. We know that our experienced and friendly team will help you to feel relaxed throughout the process.
Dermal Filler
Dermal filler works by quickly hydrating the skin, increasing volume, smoothing wrinkles, and improving facial lines. It involves the injection of hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the body, to add volume and treat lines and wrinkles.
The effects of treatment can last for up to two years.
Possible side effects?
Side effects are rare and usually mild. The most common side effect is minor bruising or reddening at the injection sites, but this usually disappears after a few days and can be covered with foundation. Your dentist will discuss this with you in more detail before treatment.
At Macroom Dental, we are committed to providing you with the highest standards of professional dental service in a friendly, modern environment using state-of-the-art materials and techniques, and keeping your wellbeing foremost in our minds. Macroom Dental Practice: A Century of Dental Excellence
By James Slattery and Sam McCarthy
Macroom Dental Practice has been an important part of the town's healthcare landscape for over 100 years. Founded by James Lynch in 1922, it marked the arrival of the first qualified dentist in Macroom. Since then, the practice has continuously evolved under the stewardship of dedicated professionals, leaving a deep-rooted mark on the community.
Following the passing of James Lynch, his son Donal, a proud past pupil of De La Salle, assumed the reins of the practice in 1950. For an impressive 28 years, Donal served as the sole dentist in Macroom, dedicating himself to the oral health of its residents. Over four decades, he diligently adapted to medical advancements and provided exceptional care to generations of Macroom's inhabitants.
In 1989, the responsibility of carrying on the practice's legacy fell to Tim Buckley, who eagerly embraced the opportunity to run his own business. Tim, recognising the significance of assembling a capable team, emphasised the importance of having good staff. Presently, the practice employs a total of 19 professionals who work together to create a welcoming environment and provide reliable service to their valued customers.
Macroom holds a special place in Tim's heart as it is his birthplace, and the unwavering support of the community has been instrumental in the practice's success. Centrally located in Middle Square, the dental practice is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and advanced equipment, ensuring that Tim and his team can deliver the highest quality dental care to their patients.
For aspiring entrepreneurs, Tim offers great advice based on his experience. He highlights the importance of thorough research before embarking on a business venture and underscores the value of seeking guidance and assistance whenever needed. Tim's journey serves as proof of the rewards that come with dedication and a commitment to excellence.
Macroom Dental Practice stands as a tribute to the enduring legacy of its founders and the unwavering dedication of its successors. With over a century of service, the practice continues to play a vital role in the oral health and well-being of the Macroom community.
